THUNDERBIRD RING



This is another or my "Small Cool Objects' render. In this case I wanted to try new things within Maya and Nuke, because it was so simple to model a ring (it's just a torus)
So I decided to explore with procedural textures for the base of the ring (also super simple to model) water textures, environment fog, and for the compositing in Nuke, I rendered out some passes that I hadn't work with before such as Incandescence and Motion Vectors.
Still is a full CG scene and very simple so the comp has no secrets. Once I finished the come in Nuke, I brought the scene into After Effects to add some of the cool Lens Flares from Andrew Kramer and the final grade.

And this is the result!
